Ian Robertson still doesn’t get it

I have had several posts detailing how Park Board Commissioner Ian Robertson is using the Vancouver Park Board official logo on his personal website, in spite of the fact that he has no right to do so.  Anita Ho from the Vancouver Park Board has told one of my regular readers that it was not appropriate and that she would be following up with him on the issue.

Well?  This is Robertson’s solution:

His addition of the words “Proudly 1 of 7 elected officials of the” is apparently supposed to solve everything.

Ian, the Park Board logo does not belong to you.  It is a the representation of a public branch of the Vancouver municipal government, which is paid for by the taxpayers.

If the latest Conservative tactic to commandeer government cheques for their own political endeavours isn’t a wake-up call for Robertson, maybe a follow-up by Anita Ho will be.

I am going to give Ms. Ho a call today.

It’s very shocking that a former Chair of the board is acting this way. Ian knows better than this I don’t understand why he is acting such a defiant manner. If he acted this way in business there would be serous consequences for this unauthorized use of a logo.

We should start and countdown on when Ian will take down the logo and show some respect for the Board he has been elected to represent.

I clocked this on October 5. Maybe he can make some donation to a charity for everyday of unauthorized use on his website.
