Remind you of anyone?

They say that Oswald Cobblepot, or the Penguin, is misunderstood.

Does this remind you of anyone here in Vancouver?

Does this remind you of anyone here in Vancouver?

He considers himself a “gentleman of crime,” although he does tend to shout “Waugh! Waugh! Waugh!” when speaking (or screaming).

He is an outcast in his rich, high society family; their rejection drives him to a life of crime.

In keeping with his pretensions of being a refined gentleman, he also prefers to wear formal wear such as a top hat, monocle, and tuxedo during his jobs.

Driven entirely by self-interest, the Penguin often relies on cunning, wit, and intimidation to exploit his surrounding for profit and advance his own schemes.

Although fighting and hard work is mostly pushed over to his henchmen, he himself is not above taking aggressive lethal actions on his own, especially when provoked.

He tends to reside in the sewers, where he plots most of his attacks against his enemies, which tends to be most of society from all walks of life (his resentment against the world as a whole is blatant).

So, if you take away the criminal elements of the story, does this profile remind you of anyone in this city?

Here…I’ll give you a hint.  He isn’t at all like James Dean.

One Response to “Remind you of anyone?”

  1. John Hinkley says:

For someone who acts like they have a lot of balls, you certainly aren’t showing it by being cowardly and not just spitting out who you’re referring to.

Why don’t you grow a pair little man and tell the 600 (LMFAO) people who read your site daily who you mean.

FACT OF THE DAY

In 2010, Vancouver had fewer than half the number of murders than it had in 2009.  There were nine homicides within Vancouver’s city limits, down from 19 killings the previous year.

Quote OF THE DAY

“Perhaps it was my silk dress or the new perfume I’ve been wearing lately. When I asked Suzanne Anton what her New Year’s resolution was, she replied, “To kiss a pretty girl!” and pecked me on the cheek.”  – Writer Emily Barca describing her encounter with the lone NPA City Councillor on New Year’s Eve.
